Alex Mosquera
Director of Goaltending Development
Coach Alex is a goaltending coach with over 10 years of experience working with goalies from the youth level through junior and collegiate hockey. A South, Lyon Michigan native, Alex developed through top AAA programs including Belle Tire and Honeybaked before continuing his playing career in the NCDC, NAHL, and at the NCAA level with Lawrence University. With more than 20 years in the crease, he brings a deep, firsthand understanding of the position to his coaching.

Alex has coached goaltenders across nearly every level of the game, including high school, AAA, the NAHL, USHL, Major Junior, NCAA, and the U.S. National Team Development Program. He began his coaching career at Michigan’s well-known Bandits Goalie School, where he built a strong foundation in technical development and purposeful training.

His coaching philosophy centers on mastering fundamentals through intentional, high-quality work. Beyond on-ice performance, Alex emphasizes the habits formed in the crease—discipline, resilience, attention to detail, and accountability—which he believes directly translate to success off the ice. His goal is to develop goaltenders who not only compete at a high level, but also grow into confident, well-rounded young adults.

Alex is excited to bring his experience, energy, and player-first approach to the Honey Badgers program.
