The Story of Honey Badgers Hockey Club
History
WHERE IT ALL BEGAN
Honey Badgers Hockey was founded in 2020 by a small hockey shop in South Milwaukee and a group of passionate parents who wanted a competitive spring option for their kids. Their goal was simple: create an affordable, community-driven program where local families could enjoy high-quality hockey, skill development, and a fun competitive experience. From the start, the Honey Badgers focused on giving players a place to grow, compete, and love the game.

GROWING INTO A YEAR-ROUND PROGRAM
What began as a spring organization quickly grew. Honey Badgers expanded to offer summer camps, winter clinics, and ongoing development opportunities. Each year, the club continued to build momentum while staying true to its values of positive coaching, competitive play, and player-focused development.

OVER 30 TOURNAMENT CHAMPIONSHIPS
Since 2020, Honey Badgers teams have won more than 30 tournaments across multiple age groups. The program has built a strong reputation for skilled, hardworking, team-oriented players who thrive in competitive environments.

A NEW ERA OF LEADERSHIP
In the fall of 2025, Honey Badgers was transitioned into the hands of the current leadership team, and renamed to Honey Badgers Hockey Club, with a unified mission: elevate the program to become one of the Midwest’s premier hockey development organizations. This new era brings a renewed commitment to hockey IQ, skill development, performance training, and building a strong, supportive community for players and families.
