HBHC Spring Program

The Honey Badgers Spring Program is designed to give players a high-energy, development-focused hockey experience during the off-season. Spring is the perfect time for players to grow their skills, increase confidence, and have fun—without the pressure of the winter season.

Our program emphasizes:

  • Elite coaching and mentorship

  • 2–3 high-quality tournaments

  • Two on-ice practices weekly (1 hour each)

  • Skill development + hockey IQ focus

  • Dedicated goalie development

  • Off-ice growth, mindset development, and goal setting

  • Exclusive webinars from high-level coaches & experts

Program Highlights

Elite Coaching & Mentorship

Our staff includes former NCAA players, high-level coaches, and specialized skill instructors.
Coaching focuses on:

  • Puck skills

  • Skating efficiency

  • Game sense (hockey IQ)

  • Confidence and creativity

  • Position-specific development

  • Checking fundamentals for Bantam-age players

Spring is not about systems — it’s about real individual development.

  • U16: 11:00 AM–12:00 PM

  • U14: 8:00–9:00 AM

  • U12: 9:15–10:15 AM

Goaltender Development Program

Goalies receive dedicated, weekly goalie-specific training with our goaltender development staff. Goalie coaches will be present for at least one practice with each goalie per week. In addition each goalie will receive personalized 1:1 mentorship and feedback for optimal development.

2026 Spring Tournaments

All HBHC teams (U10+) will compete in 2-3 tournaments. Cubs (U8) will not participate in tournaments See tournament schedule below. **Tournament schedule is subject to change up until tryout dates**

  • Battle on the Border (Gurnee, IL)

    • April 24-26: U18 only

  • Cheese Cup (Green Bay, WI)

    • May 1-3: U12 and U10 only

    • May 15-17: U14 and U16 only

  • Showdown in the Windy City (Chicago, IL)

    • May 29-31: U18, U16, U14, U12, and U10

Introducing: The HBHC 's Elite Edge Program

A holistic player development program built for long-term success on and off the ice.

Each player (U10+) receives an Elite Edge Player Binder that they will bring to every practice. After each skate, coaches hold a 10-minute guided team session focused on:

  • Goal setting + tracking progress

  • Strength, conditioning & recovery tips

  • Nutrition & hydration habits

  • Mental skills + mindset development

  • Leadership & character-building

  • Personalized Coach Feedback pages

  • Reflection questions & self-evaluation

This program helps players learn the habits of high-level athletes in a supportive, age-appropriate environment. For U10 + age groups.

All players gain access to three exclusive live webinars. Recommended for U10+.

Team Fees

Includes Ice Time, Tournaments, Jerseys/Socks, Warmup Shirt, Elite Edge Program, and Webinar Series.

  •  10U, 12U, 14U, 16U, and 18U - $650-850

  • Cubs (8U Skaters + Goalies) - $450
